Rowena Through the Wall
by Melody Campbell

When Rowena falls through her classroom wall and lands in an alternate world, she doesn’t count on being kidnapped―not once, but twice―and the stakes get higher as the men get hotter.

College instructor Rowena Revel has a magical gift with animals and a huge problem. Gorgeous tunic-clad men keep walking through the wall of her classroom. If that isn't enough, she's being haunted by sexy dreams in a rugged land. Curious, she checks out the wall and falls through a portal into the world of her dreams.

After years of war, women are scarce. Rowena finds herself in a heap of man-trouble when she 'accidentally' marries distant cousin Ivan. Enter Cedric, who dabbles in black magic and has an even blacker heart. Throw in a Viking, the local wolf-king, a band of brigands and a goth-clad student who follows her through the portal, and Rowena is off on a rollicking adventure.

Unwanted husbands keep piling up, but that doesn't stop her from falling for the wrong brother. Not only that, she has eighteen year old Kendra to look out for and a war to prevent. Good thing she has the ability to go back through the wall. Or does she?

This was a really hard book to put down. So I didn’t. I basically blew off Saturday and read it from start to finish.

The characters were wonderful. I loved Rowena, although I didn’t know whether to envy her or feel sorry for the position she found herself in, as the only woman in a kingdom full of men. This isn’t exactly a time-travel story – the mixture of cultures and the double moon make it clear it’s no longer Earth – but in the long run I don’t think it matters. The story is action packed and full of twists and turns. The men are hot and ready to fight to the death for possession of Rowena, but she, herself, is not that keen on being thought of as a possession. She manages to hold her own, even if she does have trouble holding her wardrobe together.

The only thing I didn’t like about this book was that it had to end and we have to wait for the sequel to find out what happens next. I just hope Melody Campbell writes fast! :-)

If you hurry you can still pick up a copy for free on Amazon. But even at $2.99 you won’t be sorry you bought it.

Thank you so much for this review! My publisher had promoted this book as paranormal and fantasy, but readers started to tag it time travel. To my great surprise (and delight) it started traveling up the time travel list.
Many thanks for the service you do for readers and writers in reviewing.

More like Time Space and Dimensional Travel. They probably don't make a tag for that.

A great read regardless.

Very nice review, Melodie! Wish I could get more.

Interesting comment, Alison :) I've never heard of "Time space." Or was it supposed to be "Time, space and dimensional travel." ;)
