One Word

Today's word is: gong

The first thing that pops into my head with the word "gong" is the Gong Show. Anyone remember that? Or am I dating myself here. It was a lot of fun watching people make idiots of themselves, but then it usually is, isn't it?


Write Every Day

Topic: He stared around the room, glaring at the faces before him. He couldn’t believe they had turned on him. He couldn’t believe he was about to be a poor man



These people were supposed to be his friends! Instead of helping him they were circling like a pack of wolves and he was the wounded deer. Well, he may be down, but he wasn't out yet. If it took him the rest of this life he'd get his revenge, on each and every one of them.

Losers! That's what they were. And he'd spend the rest of his days proving it. He refused to show how much they were tearing him up inside. Instead, he had a stoic look on his face. He could have been carved from marble.

Okay, so he was going to be poor. He'd been poor before and brought himself up out of the slums under his own steam. He could do it again. Legally, too. Not like Mike with his mafia connections, or Sonia with the yakuza.

Yes, he'd be poor, but he'd be happy being poor just as long as he had his revenge on these hanger-ons that turned on him as soon as the money ran out. Believe it or not!
