Share Your Workspace Blogfest

If anyone's looking for me during the next 30 days, this is where I'll be.

This is my favourite room of the house and I spend a lot of time here, not just during NaNo. :-) If you want to see a larger view of a picture, just click on it.

First up, we have the view from behind my desk. I have a view out the window, and a nice view of my bookcases. The cat's butt is optional.

This is the view a little to the left. Yes, that's right. More bookcases. Somebody seriously needs to give me an e-reader for Christmas.

This is looking towards my desk. Oh, look, another bookcase. :-) If you look carefully to the left, you can see the USB Christmas lights I have draped over the monitor of my desktop computer. No need to look at the litter pan to the right.

I call this my printing alcove. Two printers, no waiting. The big one is sitting on top of my supply cabinet. And yes, the plastic bin on the desk does have a purpose, it usually has a cat curled up in it. :-)

This is the contents of my supply cabinet. What can I say? I love office supplies, and apparently candles. My family no longer allows me to shop in the dollar store or Staples without an escort.

And this is my control center. Yes, that's right, I have both a lap top and a desktop on the same desk. There are some things I find easier to do on the lap top, but typing isn't one of them - it's hard to type when you're missing the 'b' key. Don't ask. ;-)

Please note the TARDIS on top of the CPU (far right). It's actually a USB hub that I have my printers plugged into so I only have to plug one cord into whichever computer I'm printing from. And yes, it does make authentic TARDIS noises. :-)

And that's my workspace. Hope you enjoyed the tour, I look forward to seeing yours.

Hello! Nice to discover a new blog -- that's one of the best parts about blogfests! You have so many amazing loaded bookshelves in your writing space. A dream room!! I loved this peek into your craft, and best of luck with NaNo :))

I show my space today on my blog One Significant Moment at a Time. Stop over!

Wow. I'm in serious book-lust! My husband would kill me if I had that many, but I wants them!!

(don't know if you watch 30 Rock, but)"I want to go to there."

And inside that cabinet...I think I heard angels sing. I have an office supply and candle fetish too!!

Love, love. Thanks so much for sharing!

Love the bookshelves. I lack that entirely in my house. My books are officially in storage pending a new carpentry project... storage and piled next to the bed.

Oh, the books! Heaven!!!!! Don't know if I want an ereader....I love the feel of a book in my hand and the way they smell when I stick my nose into its middle and inhale. Cat slave, love it! And guess what? My office is where the litter box is! Funny! I just love your space.

That's an impressive office! I love it! And no writing space is truly fulfilled without a cat, butt and all.

OH WOW -- this is gorgeous. So many bookshelves, and you have like a proper room and everything :-)

Don't you dare get rid of all these lovely books with an e-reader. Imagine how boring these pics would be with just a desk and e-reader :P

Yes, I am biased.

I love your workspace.

What an incredible office! I am green with envy!! Even my old den didn't have that many book shelves and that supply cabinet ...*drool* LOL I will post up a picture of my tiny corner tonight. Thanks for sharing!

ANY post that starts with a cat butt is promising, but what a FABULOUS big space you have! I am more than a little jealous. I want a room with floor to ceiling books all around me.

Wow! First..nice to meet you. *waves*
Now, moving on to more important things...HOLY ORGANIZED Batman!! I love your space...Control Center is very control center-ish.

I can spend hours and hundreds of dollars in an office supply store.

I love my many book shelves throughout my house and my thousands of real, tangible books. I'll never switch to e-readers.

ooooh nice shelves! I chickened out and just photographed my desk. Well, the central part. And no, I didn't tidy before I took the photo! ; P

Way to have a crazy amount of books on your shelves!!! I love how crammed it is -- I need more books. Your space looks awesome - I wish I had so much stuff.

I like your cat!

Wow. So organized. I keep a lot of my books hidden in totes, so my husband doesn't know how many I have;)

Thanks for sharing.

But if someone got you an e-reader, what would you do with all your books?? And they're so aesthetically pleasing, all over that room!

You are so organized and your book shelves are aligned! I love it! Good luck with NaNo! :D

Now that's a proper writer's workspace! Look at all those books and folders! And that swivel chair looks mega-comfy!

Love your blog...jealous of your space... now following so I can continue to admire the beauty :)

Thank you everyone who stopped by!

And I'd like to assure those of you who showed concern: I would never let an e-reader replace the books I already have. I was thinking more of being able to buy even more books without having to buy another bookcase. I've only got six bookcases in my office, there's eight more in the rest of the house. :-)

Very nice! I love all the books... and the cats! I like your idea of two computers together - I need that :)
