Still No Snow!

Seriously! I live in Southern Ontario, smack dab between Toronto and Kingston. Drive a few miles in any direction (well, don't drive south 'cause you'll end up in the lake) and what do you get? Snow. What do you get if you stay here? Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch.

I don't get it. Do we have an invisible, protective dome over our town? Is there some sort of planetary magnetic force over us? Europe's got snow. Britain's got snow. Everyone appears to have snow . . . except us. It's seriously ticking me off!

And while we're on the subject of ticking - which is an annoying noise and I've now moved onto a new topic, see how my mind works? - what is that skittering noise above my head? My office is on the main floor. Right above it is the guest room, which we keep closed up to a. save on heat and b. to keep the cats out of it.

For the last couple of days I've heard a distinct skittering noise either above or beside me and I was seriously hoping it was the tree branches scratching on the house, but there's no wind today and I'm really not liking the alternative, the alternative being that we have creatures in between the walls. And by creatures I'm thinking either mice or bats, and of the two I'd prefer mice because mice we can do something about. Bats are a protected species and we'd have to have a specialist come in to try and remove them.

So yeah, I have a grump on today. And I'm fresh out of coffee!

Gah! Once the snow starts it never stops. Don't get me wrong, I like it, for a little while, but after three long Michigan winters, I had my fill.

I truly wish that I could send you some of our snow here in Lansing. I couldn't get out of my driveway this morning.

Don't be too grumpy! You are a Sparkly Winner! Haha. I gave some props to you and other NaNoWriMo winners at The Magic Nutshell.
